Device is a general word for a machine with a special purpose: They invented a new device for copying DVD`s.
An Appliance is an electrical machine used in the household: We got all new kitchen appliances, including a stove, fridge, and microwave oven.
Gadget is an informal word for a small, clever tool: I bought a gadget that keeps my coffee cup hot on my desk.
Contraption is a humorous word for a funny-looking machine: I don`t think that contraption will really clean my bathroom automatically.
Unique means being the only one like this in the world: The architecture of the Sydney Opera Hall is unique.
One of a kind is an informal expression: Irina`s dress is one of a kind, she made it herself.

Special is sometimes used as an informal word for unique: That photo of my family was a very special gift.
Watch Out!
Unique is an absolute term and does not have a comparative or superlative form. So you can't say ``more unique`` or ´´ the most unique´´. Other words like this are perfect and impossible.

Use only one adverb in each sentence to show the relationship between clauses.
